Plant Manager, Bonnell Aluminum (Elkhart)

Prior leadership and industry experience

Most of my career has been with Bonnell Aluminum.  I started with Bonnell at the Kentland Indiana facility in 2001 and spent 11 years there in engineering and maintenance management.  In 2012, I transferred to the Carthage Tennessee facility in an engineering role and was part of a large project in 2015 to completely convert the anodize line as part of a capacity increase project.  After working on the 10-week project to completely tear out the old anodize line and build a new anodize line, I moved from engineering to anodizing department manager at the Carthage location.  During the seven years I was the anodizing department manager, I got to be a part of the anodizing production team setting new production and safety records.  In 2022, I was part of a division-wide project to configure a new shop floor operating system.  Early in 2023 I was promoted to plant manager at the Elkhart Indiana anodizing facility.

Please, explain your passions and values

I enjoy working together as a team to continue to improve performance and achieve goals.  It is very rewarding to be a part of a team that unites to achieve great results.

What about Bonnell Aluminum makes it a great place to work?

I like the fact that Bonnell has strong core values and cares for all the employees that make Bonnell great.  I am grateful for the opportunities I have received during my time at Bonnell and that I have been able to advance in my career while at Bonnell.  The people I have worked with at Bonnell always have a “can do” attitude and figure out how to overcome obstacles to accomplish the end goals.

Personal interests (hobbies, talents, etc.)

My main interest is spending time with family, 4 adult children and currently six grandchildren (all boys).  My other personal interests are anything that is outdoors, kayaking, hiking, walking our dogs, lawncare.  I also enjoy traveling with my wife Amy to see new places or back to the Great Smoky Mountains.
